Buhimba–Kakumiro Road Works

The Buhimba–Kakumiro road project was one of SSL's most comprehensive road works engagements to date. As subcontractor to China Wu Yi Co Ltd under UNRA, SSL was responsible for a wide range of civil works including culvert construction, precast installation, stone pitching, and service infrastructure across the full project corridor.

Scope of Work

• Single and double cell box culverts along the full road corridor
• Access culverts at 522 locations
• Service duct construction at 45 locations
• Precast chutes: 450 metres
• Kerbstone installation: 5,325 metres
• Pedestrian slabs: 399 units
• KM posts, UNRA posts, duct marker posts
• Stone pitching: 37,500 M²
